Daybreak has a history of successfully helping children with severe behaviors overcome their challenges. Our mental health services, counseling services and therapy services help non-compliant children and aggressive children overcome their behavior problems. Many of our clients have been kicked out of daycare, and require our behavior modification or day treatment services before they are permitted to return to childcare. This includes biting children, kicking children, and all kinds of other severe behaviors. Our counselors are always happy to hear good reports like these…

“Daybreak is an amazing program with warm loving people. I debated on bringing my son but when he came home from his old school one day telling me he’d been told if he didn’t shape up, he couldn’t go to school there anymore, I knew we needed help. I didn’t want my son growing up not liking school, being the kid that others won’t play with due to hitting, biting, kicking, temper tantrums. If I knew then what I know now, I wouldn’t have waited so long. In such a short time we went from battling each other to using new tools and being on the same side again. My son has graduated and at his new school, his new friends run to give him hugs before he leaves. The tools we’ve learned have been so simple yet so effective. It’s not just about correcting behavior, it’s about giving us joy back into our lives.”

“Daybreak is a very professional but sensitive group of individuals that give their cases a great deal of care and effort. They are an excellent option of getting specialized behavioral care. I have been involved with them for 1-1/2 years.”

“You guys are the only ones who understand my son.”

“You have been amazing and helped us through so much. Without your help, I don’t know what we would have done. We are at a whole different place in our lives now because of your awesome support. Thank you!”

“I am a single mother of five children. Raising one child with behaviors is hard enough, let alone four. It has seemed too difficult to handle at times. In those difficult times I remember the tools Daybreak has taught me. I keep working, stay focused, remain positive and follow the program and there is no way we cannot succeed. Daybreak’s staff is very professional. They are current on new techniques to help your children succeed. There is not a day that goes by that I am not grateful for every person who works there. They have changed our lives forever. Thank you to all of the Daybreak staff.”

“My Daybreak therapist was great at working with my son on some behavioral issues including anger management and dealing with anxiety.  She developed a great rapport with my son and helped him work through this by incorporating his ideas on how to handle the issues.  She also was great at working with my family and meeting our scheduling needs to allow both my husband and I to attend the sessions.”

“Before we learned about Daybreak, our family’s entire world was controlled by our 4 year old son’s mood and aggressive behavior. We didn’t know where to go or what to do and were just about to give up completely when we were told about Daybreak and started to feel like we had a small chance. That small chance became the greatest blessing for our family.

Daybreak was different than other places we had tried before, where our son had to be molded to fit a model. Their model was instead molded to fit him and each staff member took the time and went out of their way to try new things and learn with us what would and would not work.

We can’t express our gratitude enough to Daybreak’s staff and management for taking the time to learn about our son and treat him as an individual, rather than trying to “fix” him. Thank you for giving us back our son!”
